MeowTown

Stranger Thing

A three-panel MeowTown comic that puts Tater Tot in a scene right out of Season 5 of Stranger Things. Panel one: Tater Tot (a buff tabby cat) is sporting Will Byers' signature brown bowl-cut and stands facing the person in the green shirt with a vulnerable, downcast expression. Tater delivers Will's actual monologue: 'I haven't told you this because I don't want you to see me differently. But the truth is... I am — I am different.' Panel two: Tater Tot continues haltingly, 'I just — I just — I don't like girls...' The person responds with deadpan obliviousness: 'Well, you're neutered, so...' Panel three: Extreme close-up. Tater Tot's expression has turned to annoyance as he goes off-script and keeps listing things he doesn't like: 'Or boys... or women... or men... or people... or dogs... or other cats...' The joke: the human's clueless biological deflection sends Tater spiraling, and his anxious confession reveals not a sexuality but the universal misanthropy of a cat who simply does not like anything.
