Groundhog Day

A three-panel MeowTown comic about competing prophecies. Panel one: A person in a blue shirt stands beside a wall calendar, pointing to the date with a delighted grin, and announces, 'If the groundhog sees his shadow, then it's six more weeks of winter.' Panel two: Loki, a gray tabby cat, sits on the floor next to his food bowl, looking up at the person. The bowl is mostly empty — just a small ring of food around the edge with the bottom of the bowl clearly visible. Loki replies, 'If I see the bottom of my bowl, then it's eternal starvation.' Panel three: An extreme close-up of Loki's face. His expression is flat, unimpressed, eyes half-lidded, staring directly at the person off-panel. The joke: cats have their own folk traditions, and they're all about food.
